Thomas Blix is a Norwegian artist based in Asker. He was born in 2001 in Norway and works under the artist name Bliss. Bliss spent much of his childhood in the studio of his mother, the artist Tine Blix. He has been drawing for as long as he can remember before choosing to further his education at the Asker School of Art to delve deeper into the field of art.
Bliss won the "Dream Scholarship" as early as the summer of 2020 and had two solo exhibitions at Blankbox titled "Autopsy" and "Certification of Authenticity" before being accepted into art school.
His colorful works often have pop culture references, but he also experiments with more abstract and surreal pieces. You can find interpretations of famous artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, and Henri Matisse in several of his works, and he is greatly inspired by both fashion and music.
Why is Thomas Blix interesting?
Thomas Blix is a blank slate for most people, where we see potential and drive in Bliss's work. His works have clear references to relevant themes of the time and possess a unique expression.
